About the Fellowship

The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences, Foundation of Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH/ICE-HT), invites applications for an MSc fellowship within the GRAPHERGIA project (Innovative pilot lines for sustainable graphene-based flexible and structural energy harvesting and storage devices), funded under the HORIZON EUROPE Research and Innovation Actions (GA: 101120832).

Job Description

The selected MSc candidate will conduct research in laser-assisted synthesis of graphene-based materials with applications in flexible energy harvesting and storage devices. This includes:

  • Development of one-step laser-assisted synthesis, processing, and functionalization of graphene nanohybrids.
  • Integration of graphene materials directly into energy devices.
  • Electrochemical characterization of synthesized graphene electrodes.

Duration: Up to 6 months, with potential for extension.
Fellowship Amount: Up to approximately €650 per month, depending on qualifications.
Expected Start Date: April 1, 2025.

Eligibility & Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Hold a BSc in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science or a related field.
  • Be registered in an MSc program in one of the above disciplines.
  • Have experience in laser-based synthesis of graphene and electrochemical characterization of storage devices.
  • Be fluent in Greek and possess at least B2 level English proficiency.
